Facility Evaluation Report
Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Martha Arroyo arrived at the facility unannounced to conduct a required annual visit at 10:50 a.m. Upon arrival, there were two (2) staff and six (6) residents present. The LPA was greeted by facility staff who contacted the Administrator via telephone. At this time, the reason for the visit was explained. The facility manager, Robin Douglas arrived at 11:00 a.m. The Administrator, Loretta Tiede arrived during the inspection. Entrance interview conducted.
The LPA along with the facility manager toured the physical plant areas inside and outside to ensure there are no health and safety hazards and facility is in compliance with Title 22 Regulations.
KITCHEN: The LPA inspected the kitchen/food service area at 11:20 a.m. Knives and sharps were observed in a locked drawer. Cleaning supplies were observed locked under the kitchen sink. Kitchen appliances were in operable condition. The facility has a sufficient supply of perishable and non-perishable food. Refrigerator and food pantry were checked for proper labels and expiration dates. The kitchen faucet was measured for hot water temperature, and it measured 127.9 degrees Fahrenheit at 11:24 a.m.
COMMON AREAS: At the time of the visit, furniture in the common areas was observed to be in good condition. The facility maintained a comfortable temperature. At 11:37 a.m., smoke detector(s) and carbon monoxide detector were tested and operational at the time of the visit. The fire extinguisher was observed and fully charged on 10/15/2024. The LPA observed required postings throughout the common space. Emergency disaster drills conducted quarterly as per regulation; the last drill was conducted on 10/06/2024. Activities were observed in the common areas. There is a working telephone on premises. There is a laundry closet with a washer and dryer.
