The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kelly Dulek arrived at the facility unannounced to conduct a required annual visit. At 01:03 p.m., the LPA met with staff and explained the reason for the visit. At 01:21 p.m., the Administrator, Delia Cafuir arrived at the facility. The facility is vendored by Tri-Counties Regional Center as a level 6 home.

Starting at 01:22 p.m., the LPA, along with the Administrator, toured the physical plant areas inside and outside to ensure there are no health and safety hazards. The facility is a single-story residence that consists of four (4) bedrooms, three (3) for client use and one (1) for staff use and two (2) bathrooms.

OUTDOOR SPACE: The LPA observed the back patio which has a covered area equipped with furniture for client use. There are no bodies of water on the premises. There is a single latched side gate for emergencies.

KITCHEN: The LPA observed the kitchen and dining area. Kitchen appliances are in operable condition. The facility has a sufficient supply of perishable and non-perishable food. Knives are stored in a locked kitchen cabinet underneath the sink. Cleaning solutions are inaccessible and locked away underneath the kitchen sink.

GARAGE: The garage is attached to the house. Washer and dryer units are located inside the garage. Emergency water and additional food are located inside the garage. Additional cleaning supplies and disinfectants are kept in locked cabinets in the garage and in a locked outside shed.
