The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Martha Arroyo arrived at the facility unannounced to conduct the required annual inspection today at 9:00 a.m. The facility currently has no clients. Upon arrival, the LPA met with staff, Larry Greene, and the reason for the visit was explained. Staff contacted the Compliance Specialist, Regan Mew, and informed them of the visit. The Compliance Specialist arrived during the inspection. Entrance interview.

At 09:15 a.m., the LPA along with staff toured the physical plant area inside and out to ensure there are no health and safety hazards and facility is in compliance with Title 22 Regulations. The following was observed:

The LPA inspected the kitchen/food service area. Kitchen appliances appeared clean and were in operable condition at the time of the visit. The facility has a sufficient supply of perishable and non-perishable food. Food labels were inspected and checked for dates and expiration dates. Knives and sharps were observed locked and inaccessible at the time of the visit.

The three (3) client restrooms were observed to be clean and in sanitary condition. The bathrooms were sufficiently stocked with soap and paper towels. Starting at 09:24 a.m., the hot water temperature was tested in client restrooms, and they measured within the required range of 105 – 120 degrees Fahrenheit at the time of the visit.
