The inspector’s account

On August 4, 2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Murial Han conducted an unannounced annual inspection. Upon entry, LPA met with Case Managers, Kamila Smith and Edralyn Jimenez and LPA explained the purpose of today's visit. The Director of Regional Administration, Mark Sharea was informed of LPA's visit.

LPA toured facility and grounds with the case manager. No accessible bodies of water or fire safety hazards observed. The indoor and outdoor passageways were free of obstruction. LPA toured the facility activity rooms, changing rooms, bathrooms, storage rooms and kitchen area.

During today's visit, staff reported that the facility is experiencing power outage and LPA observed facility staff was transporting clients to go on the community activities, LPA observed other clients were participating and engaging in activities in the game, and exercise rooms.

Client bathrooms are observed to be in good repair and facility is utilizing portable lights in the bathrooms due to power outage.

Food is brought in by clients prepared from their home facilities and the case manager reported that due to power outage, client would not be eating their own food, rather, the facility would be purchasing food.

The facility does not administer medications to the clients. LPA observed chemicals, toxins and sharps are locked and inaccessible to clients in care.
