The inspector’s account

LPA Audrey Jeung toured facility and grounds, including detached storage structure in backyard. There are two private and one shared client bedrooms, two full bathrooms, office, staff room--with one bed for 2 persons--living room, and family/dining room. Washer and dryer are located in 2-car garage. There are no accessible bodies of water nor fire safety hazards observed. A comfortable temperature is maintained and hot water temperature is tested at 119 degrees in client bathroom. Carbon monoxide detector is tested and operable. Food supply and first-aid kit are inspected, and hygiene items for general use are maintained, as well as PPE. Disaster drills are documented.

Criminal record clearances or exemptions for facility staff or other individuals who have client contact have been reviewed, as well as required staff records. Rochelle Rivera is the designated ARF administrator that oversees facility operations. ARF administrator certificate is pending with Administrator Certification Unit.

Client files are reviewed, including Centrally Stored Medications Records for one client and personal and incidental cash log for 4 clients.

Current proof of surety bonding is provided to LPA today.

No deficiencies of the California Code of Regulations, Title 22, are observed. See Technical Advisory Note--one page.
