Staff did not prevent resident from having access to medications
Licensing Program Analyst (LPA)Tiffany Holmes contacted the facility to deliver findings for a complaint investigation via tele-virtual. LPA identified herself to, and explained the purpose of the visit and the basic elements of the complaint with Ayad George, Administrator
LPA previously conducted interviews with residents, staff, and outside sources, made observations, and obtained and reviewed pertinent records. LPA conducted the initial visit on April 16, 2025 and conducted a tour of the facility.
It was alleged that staff did not prevent resident from having access to medications. Interviews revealed that staff lock all medications and that the clients do not have access to the medications and only take the medications that the staff give them that the doctors have prescribed. Interviews revealed that Client 1 (C1) has a tendency to not tell the truth. Interviews revealed that C1 was boasting about taking medications. Interviews revealed that the client was not left alone to be able to get drugs or take any medications. When C1 takes their medications the staff observe and make sure all medications have been swallowed. Interviews with outside sources revealed that C1 was given a drug test and the test showed negative for any of the medications C1 stated they took. Interviews with outside source also revealed that C1 admitted to not telling the truth about the incident and stated they did not know why they made up the story.
The Department has investigated the above-mentioned allegation and based on interviews, LPA observations, outside source interviews and records review, it was determined that the complaint allegation us Unsubstantiated. The allegation may have happened or is valid, but there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violation occurred.
An exit interview was conducted with Ayad George, Administrator via face time and a copy of this report along with Licensee/Appeal Rights (LIC 9058 03/22) was provided via email. An electronic email read receipt confirms the documents were received.
