The inspector’s account

It was alleged that the s taff did not prevent resident from making inappropriate comments towards another resident . Interviews revealed that any time clients are arguing or exchanging words the staff will let them get out what they are saying but if it results in name calling or cursing or it seems as if the argument is going in the wrong direction the staff will quickly redirect the clients. Interviews revealed sometimes there are clients that are roommates that may argue and staff are not around but if one of the clients mention it to staff the staff do not ignore the client they will talk with the clients about alternate ways on how to handle situations instead of arguing or calling each other names. Interviews revealed that they would not allow clients to make inappropriate comments in front of them and not acknowledge what was said or do anything about it. Interviews revealed when the clients have these arguments they usually handle it themselves and a lot of times don't mention it to staff, when staff finds out about any clients arguing it is because another client has mentioned it to staff.

Based on records and interviews, the allegations of staff did not prevent resident from engaging in inappropriate behaviors and staff did not prevent resident from making inappropriate comments towards another resident are Unsubstantiated.
