Complaint Investigation Report
It was alleged that the staff are not meeting resident's bathing needs. Interviews revealed that all clients receive a shower when they arrive home from program. Interviews revealed that the clients are good about taking their showers and not refusing them. Interviews revealed the staff assist the clients with their showers and with dressing after. Interviews revealed that if a client has an accident or is soaked in the morning from using the bathroom overnight they are showered or wiped down in the morning before leaving for program.
It was alleged that the staff are not meeting resident's laundry needs. Interviews revealed the laundry is done almost daily. Interviews with clients revealed they have clean laundry and that the staff wash their clothes all the time. Interviews with staff revealed laundry is constantly being done since the clients have accidents so they are constantly washing clothes and sheets/bedding. Interviews revealed the clients have extra linens and clothes so while they are washing items the clients still have items available to them.
The Department has investigated the above-mentioned allegations and based on interviews, LPA observations, and records review, it was determined that the complaint allegations are unsubstantiated, the preponderance of evidence did not prove that the alleged violations occurred.
An exit interview was conducted with Administrator Sally Saif and a copy of this report along with Licensee/Appeal Rights (LIC 9058 03/22) was provided at the conclusion of the visit.
