Complaint Investigation Report
It was reported in staff interviews that there are two centralized call monitors on the first floor in the common area. All pendant activations are heard by staff in the common area and one staff member is dispatched within minutes of the alarm. There is always one staff member in the area that can hear the alarm.
It was also alleged that staff handled resident roughly. Interviews with residents did not conclude any rough handling by staff. Staff also reported no mishandling of residents. Outside source interviews revealed that abuse has not been observed and there are no concerns for abuse.
Based on interviews and record reviews there is insufficient evidence to support that the alleged violations occurred. Therefore the complaint is unsubstantiated.
An exit interview was conducted and report was given to Isela Vega and appeal rights (LIC 9058) were provided.
