A review of grocery purchase receipts from grocery store dated March 7, March 14, March 21 and March 28, 2024 were reviewed and revealed the following foods purchased: bread, sausage, stuffed bell peppers, stuffed cabbage roll, mac & cheese, pizza, chicken cordon blue stuffed, mac & cheese, chicken Mandarin orange, pork pulled, pasta, meatball, Salisbury steak, pizza, stuffed, taquitos, chili, beef no bean chili dog, and franks.
A review of facility menus during time period identified various food to be served. A sampling of the menu reviewed for March 18, 2024 through March 24, 2024 revealed the following samplings of meals served: scrambled cheese egg with bacon, hash browns and toast, Greek Yogurt, fruit, milk, coffee, juice; stuffed bell peppers with a roll, salad, fruit, juice, tea or milk; and taquitos, rice, beans, chips, fruit, juice or tea.
Although the food may have had more variety when the normal cook was at the facility, it did appear that there was a menu of food options and that clients were fed meals and snacks each day. There was no evidence the food was inadequate. The staff and clients interviewed did not disclose any concerns with the food.
Based on evidence obtained, the preponderance of evidence standard was not met, therefore the allegation is determined to be unsubstantiated.
