The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Debbie Correia conducted an unannounced Required Annual Inspection. LPA identified herself and was greeted by DSP Alvarez, to whom the purpose of the visit was explained.

According to the facility’s license, the facility is approved for a maximum capacity of four (4) clients, all of whom may be non-ambulatory. At the time of the inspection, the facility had four (4) clients in care, with one (1) client present during the visit.

LPA, accompanied by DSP Alvarez, toured the interior and exterior of the facility and inspected each room. The facility was observed to be clean, sanitary, and in good repair. Pathways were free of obstructions and slip hazards. Client bedrooms contained the required furnishings. Doors, windows, screens, toilets, and showers were in good working order. Extra linens, hygiene supplies, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) were available.

Hot water temperatures at taps accessible to clients were within regulatory compliance: bathrooms used by clients measured 104.4°F . The facility’s ambient internal temperature was 70°F .
