The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Debbie Correia conducted an unannounced Required Annual Inspection. LPA was greeted by Direct Support Provider (DSP) Larry Benett, identified herself, and was granted entry into the facility. A short time later Administrator Rene Doehrer arrived to join the inspection.

The facility is licensed with a maximum capacity of four (4) clients, all of whom must be ambulatory.

During today’s inspection, there was one (1) client and one (1) staff present at the Adult Residential Facility (ARF). LPA Correia conducted a general overall inspection. The facility serves 4 clients, age 18 to 59, and all of whom are ambulatory.

LPA Correia, accompanied by Administrator Doehrer, toured the facility, and inspected each room. The facility was clean, sanitary, and in good repair. Pathways were free of obstruction and slip hazards. Client bedrooms contained the required furnishings. Doors, windows and screens, toilets, and showers were in working order. Extra linens and hygiene supplies were present, as well as Personal Protective Equipment. The facility had sufficient space and equipment to facilitate dining, laundry, visitation, meetings, and client activities. The facility’s ambient internal and hot water temperature were with-in Licensing guidelines.
