The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Angelica Boyles, made an unannounced visit to conduct the required One Year Inspection to ensure substantial compliance with Title 22 regulations. LPA identified herself, stated the purpose of the visit, and was granted entry into the facility by Administrator Rebecca Rayo.

This facility is licensed to serve ninety-nine residents sixty and above; of which twenty-two may be non-ambulatory.

LPA and Administrator toured the interior and exterior of the facility and inspected rooms at random. The facility was clean, sanitary, and in good repair. Pathways were free of obstruction and slip hazards. resident's bedrooms contained the required furnishings. Doors, windows, screens, toilets, and showers were in working order. Extra linens and hygiene supplies were present. The facility had sufficient space and equipment to facilitate dining, laundry, visitation, meetings, and client activities.

The facility is operating in accordance with their fire clearance. The smoke and carbon monoxide alarms were present in the building. Emergency lighting, and facility telephone were all working. First aid kits were complete and readily accessible. Required licensing postings were observed in visible areas of the facility. No pools or bodies of water exist on the premises. Per Administrator, no firearms or ammunition are kept at the facility.
