This is an official report of an unannounced visit/investigation of a complaint received in our office on

10/10/2024 and conducted by Evaluator Renese Howell-Small

COMPLAINT CONTROL NUMBER: 56-AS-20241010090727

Facility staff are not providing a comfortable temperature for clients in care.

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Renese Howell-Small conducted an unannounced visit to the facility in order to deliver findings for the above allegations. LPA discussed the purpose of the visit with Administrator, . Vivian Francisco and consisted of interviews, observation and record review.

LPA Howell-Small observed the temperature to be 73 degrees Fahrenheit, two working ceiling fans in the kitchen and hallway and three table fans in each of three resident bedrooms. LPA also had a telephone conversation along with documentation with the maintenance person to confirm that the air conditioning unit has been serviced.

The allegation of staff not providing a comfortable temperature for clients in care is UNSUBSTANTIATED.

UNSUBSTANTIATED is defined as the allegation may have happened or is valid, but there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violation occurred.
