Facility Evaluation Report
Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Magda Malcore conducted an unannounced required annual inspection visit to the facility. LPA met with Licensee, Georgine Berrian and discussed the purpose of the visit.
The facility is an Adult Residential Facility (ARF) and currently has no staff, no clients in care. The facility is pending Inland Regional Center (IRC) certification. LPA conducted an overall inspection of the facility, which included, but was not limited to, the following:
Indoor and outdoor passageways are kept free of obstruction. The facility's family room, living room and dining areas have sufficient activity space for clients. The backyard is enclosed with two latching gates and there is a shaded area for outdoor activities. No bodies of water were observed. The facility has books and board games for client activities. The facility maintains clean linen and towels, personal hygiene products, first aid kit, emergency food supplies, hallway night light, fire extinguisher, laundry equipment, telephone service and smoke/carbon monoxide alarms. The facility is kept cleaned and maintained at a comfortable temperature of 73 degrees F. The facility has a locked closet and locked boxes were client medications will be stored. The facility has a closet area were client/staff files will be stored. Client three (3) bedrooms had mattresses, bed linen, chairs, night stands, storage areas and lighting. Client two (2) bathrooms were operating in safe and sanitary conditions. The water temperature in client bathrooms test at 111 and 105 degrees F. The facility's kitchen and dining areas are maintained clean. Facility has sufficient nonperishable and perishable food storage areas. The facility has sufficient utensils, cups and plates for clients. Sharps, disinfectants, cleaning supplies are kept in a locked garage. No deficiencies were cited during today's visit. An exit interview was conducted where this report was discussed, and a copy of this report was provided to the Licensee at the conclusion of the visit.
