Facility Evaluation Report

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Anna Bueno made an unannounced visit to the day program to conduct an annual inspection with emphasis on infection control. LPA arrived at the facility at 9:43 AM and noticed that the doors are closed and lights are off. LPA phoned administrator Shari Volpicelli who stated that the facility has been on remote services but administrator will meet LPA at the physical plant for the inspection. Administrator Volpicelli arrived at the facility at 10:14AM and fitted with a mask.

During today's visit, LPA and administrator toured the day program and made observations regarding the infection control measures that the day program will be implementing when they return to in-person service. The day program is currently closed due to recommendations by the Inland Regional Center over the Covid-19 virus epidemic, however services are being provided remotely. The program will re-evaluate returning to in-person service by mid-February 2022.

The day program has a plan in place to monitor participants regularly for any changes in condition, which includes daily temperature checks upon entry and asking screening questions. The day program staff will contact the participant's responsible party should a participant begin to exhibit any symptoms of the virus. The day program also has a designated infection control lead that is responsible for updating staff and participants about changes and recommendations in regards to precautions that should be taken in regards to Covid-19. Cohort activities are planned to mitigate exposure.

No deficiencies have been issued at this time. An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was provided to the Administrator Volpicelli.
