For the allegation, Staff does not ensure client is provided access to personal articles.

During staff interviews. 7 out of the 7 informed LPA that C1 is independent and has access to their own personal articles. 7 out of 7 staff stated they do not have access to their client's personal articles. 1 out of the 7 staff informed LPA that C1 had forgotten their password and had blame facility staff of changing their password.

During clients interviews 4 out of the 5 clients stated their family is responsible for their personal articles. Furthermore, C1 admitted to LPA they had accidentally forgotten their password to access their financial documents.

Based on the evidence found during the investigation, the two (2) allegations listed above are deemed UNSUBSTANTIATED. A finding that the complaints are UNSUBSTANTIATED means although the allegation may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur. During today’s visit, no deficiencies were cited per Title 22, Division 6, of the California Code of Regulations.

An exit interview was conducted, and this report was discussed and provided to Residential Manager Maria Pinto, along with a copy of the appeal rights.
