The inspector’s account

The allegation that staff mismanaged client's medication. Four (4) staff interviewed stated that refills are being requested on time for clients medications. LPA reviewed three (3) random clients medications, there are refills available and are being filled on time. Seven (7) clients interviewed stated that their medications are being refilled on time with no issues.

The allegation that staff is not properly trained. Based on LPAs observations, interviews and record reviews, all medtechs are properly trained. MAR (Medication Administration Record) review revealed that medication is administered as prescribed.

The allegation that staff did not arrange transportation services for clients in care. Four (4) staff interviewed stated that they do arrange transportation services for clients. Seven (7) clients interviewed stated that staff do arrange transportation services for them.

The allegation that facility is not kept free of pests. Based on LPAs observations and record reviews, the facility does have a pest control company that comes to the facility monthly for the treatments. Based on LPAs observations, the facility is clean and sanitary and did not observe any signs of pests.

Based on evidence obtained during this investigation, the allegations above are Unsubstantiated; meaning that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur.

An exit interview was conducted where this report was discussed and a copy of this report was provided to J. Rosa Tucker, Program Director at the conclusion of the visit.
