The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Magda Malcore made an unannounced visit to the facility to conduct a required annual inspection. LPA identified self and discussed the purpose for the visit with facility representative, Adrian Laygo. The facility currently has no staff or no clients in care. The facility is a certified Inland Regional Center (IRC) vendor.

Physical Plant: All indoor and outdoor passageways are kept free of obstruction. There are no pools or other bodies of water located on the premises. The facility has sufficient indoor space and games for client activities. The facility's outdoor activity space is covered and enclosed with a latching gate. The facility is maintained at a temperature of 68 degrees Fahrenheit. Client (4) bedrooms were equipped with bed, chairs, nightstands, storage space and lighting. Client bathrooms were maintained clean and equipped with slip mats. The hot water temperature in clients bathrooms measured 113 degrees Fahrenheit. The facility is equipped with fully charged fire extinguishers, fire/carbon monoxide alarms, first aid supplies/manual, night lights, emergency food/water. The facility has posted in a common area: client personal rights, house rules, facility license, evacuation sketch and emergency telephone numbers. The facility maintains a emergency & disaster plan and liability insurance for review.

Kitchen and Food Service: The facility's kitchen and dining areas are maintained clean. The facility is equipped with sufficient storage space for perishable and non-perishable foods. Sharps and cleaning supplies are kept secured with a lock.

Medication: The facility maintains a locked area where medications will be stored.

Record Review: The facility currently has no staff or clients for a file review; however there is a designated storage space for client/staff files.

No deficiencies were cited during today's visit. Facility Representative was informed that Annual licensing fees are due on March 10, 2026. An exit interview was conducted where this report was discussed and copy provided to the facility representative at the conclusion of the visit.
