-Facility staff does not allow residents to have visitors.
-Facility staff threaten to evict resident
On November 22, 2022 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Chris Hopkins conducted an unannounced facility visit in regards to a complaint investigation with the above allegations. LPA met with caregiver Treasure Amadi and stated the purpose of this visit.
Regarding the allegation of Facility staff does not allow residents to have visitors, the Department found the following; based on interview, it was determined that residents are able to have visitors. Visitors were not allowed during Covid lockdown. Residents visitors hours are 8am-6pm.
Regarding the allegation of Facility staff threaten to evict resident, the Department found the following; based on interview, it was determined that Resident 1 (R1) could not recall reasons for staff threatening to evict. Staff also state they never have threatened to evict anyone.
LPA has deemed the complaint findings as UNSUBSTANTIATED. Although the allegation may have happened and/or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are UNSUBSTANTIATED.
Exit interview conducted. A copy of this report was left with staff upon exit.
