The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Christina Valerio arrived unannounced to conduct an annual required inspection. LPA Valerio met with facility staff Roberto "Bob" Regala, and explained the purpose of visit. LPA was later met by Administrator Rowena Ramirez.

LPA Valerio and facility staff toured the facility to ensure compliance with Title 22 regulations. LPA Valerio observed the living room to be fully furnished, clean, and free from odors. Resident bedrooms were clean, organized, and personalized to each individual interest. Resident bathrooms were fully stocked with hygiene supplies, a trash can, paper towels, toilet paper, and hand soap. The common areas were observed to have areas for dinning, day time activities, and lounging. LPA Valerio observed sharps, toxins, and medications locked and inaccessible to resident sin care. The facility was observed to have an adequate food supply along with an emergency supply of food. Three out of four residents were observed to be out of the facility during the time of visit. One resident was observed writing their own book and in their room. The two staff on shift were observed preparing for the residents to come back to the home and cleaning the facility. The fire extinguisher was fully charge with a last annual inspection date on July 25, 2025

LPA Valerio reviewed staff and resident files. All files were observed to be complete with annual documentation. LPA Valerio requested the following be sent to christina.valerio@dss.ca.gov: LIC 500, LIC 308, LIC 610, and copy of surety bond

Per California Code of Regulations (CCR) - Title 22, no deficiencies were observed today. An exit interview was held, and a copy of this report was provided to Administrator Rowena.
