Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Christina Valerio and LPA Reza Jamaly arrived unannounced to conduct an annual required inspection. LPAs met with Administrator Antonio, and explained the purpose of the visit.

LPAs and Administrator toured the facility to ensure compliance of Title 22 regulations. LPAs observed three (3) resident bedrooms and two (2) resident bathrooms. Resident bedrooms were observed to be fully furnished. LPAs observed resident rooms to have belongings thrown everywhere, plates with food, and a few empty bottles. LPAs talked to the residents inside the rooms. The residents said they are aware of the items all over the room and working on cleaning their room. According to the administrator, the administrator prompts the residents to clean their rooms. Administrator will ask if he can remove dirty plate or dishes when it becomes too much. Resident bathrooms were observed to stocked with hygiene supplies and sanitary. One bathroom had a bottle full of pee on the counter. LPA learned that the bottle belonged to the resident that had a room located near the bathroom. LPA Valerio observed the facility to have an adequate food supply to meet Title 22 regulations; however, a technical advisory was given to the administrator to obtain an emergency supply of food. An emergency supply of water was observed at the facility. All emergency exits were observed to be clear from obstructions. LPAs observed the fire extinguisher to have a last annual check on December 18, 2024. Licensee Janet informed LPAs that they will have a fire extinguisher brought to home by COB.

LPAs discussed the availability of the Technical Support Program, which is a free program offered by the Department. Administrator to let LPA Valerio know if the facility would like the Regional Office to refer them.
