The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cassie Yang arrived unannounced at the facility to conduct a required annual inspection utilizing the inspection care tool. LPA met with staff who contacted interim Administrator and explained the purpose of the visit.

LPA and interim Administrator toured facility to ensure health and safety of residents in care. LPA toured 3 client rooms, 1 staff room, 1 bathrooms, kitchen, office, laundry room and the common areas. In the areas toured no immediate health, safety, or personal rights violations were observed. LPA observed locked storage for medications, sharps and toxins. Food supply is adequate for two day perishable and seven day nonperishable.

A review of staff records indicates that all facility staff has received criminal record clearances and/or are associated to this facility. A copy of Guardian roster was provided to interim Administrator. Staff records reviewed indicated current first aid and CPR certificates completed.

LPA observed documentation of quarterly fire drills conducted at the facility. LPA observed Emergency Disaster Plan reviewed November 2024, LPA informed interim Administrator that it needs to be updated and/or reviewed within the next week to stay in compliance with Title 22.

As a result of today's visit, no deficiencies observed.
