Facility staff contacted administrator/licensee Linda Mustin. LPA requested administrator be present. LPA was later met by Administrator/licensee Linda Mustin.
LPA Valerio and Administrator Linda toured the facility. LPA Valerio was made aware that the facility had a recent case of bed bugs in one of the resident bedrooms. According to Administrator Linda, they are having a company come out to paint the walls and redo the room. According to staff and administrator Linda, when they had the bed bug treatment, they took the residents out for the day to ensure they did not inhale the fumes. LPA Valerio and Administrator discussed the facility's protocols regarding bed bugs. The facility has proper daily tasks/procedures put in place to help prevent bed bugs/address any bed bug concerns. Resident bedrooms were observed to be fully furnished with bed bug covers and linens. The facility was observed to have an adequate supply of food items to meet Title 22 requirements.
