The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Christina Valerio arrived unannounced to conduct an annual required inspection. LPA Valerio was met by facility staff, and explained the purpose of the visit. LPA was later met by Licensee Camina Sol-Sierras

LPA Valerio toured the facility to ensure compliance with Title 22 regulations. LPA Valerio observed common areas to be fully furnished, clean, and free from odors. Resident bedrooms were observed to be clean, organized, personalized to each individual, and free from odors. Resident bathrooms were stocked with hygiene supplies and clean. The facility was observed to have an adequate food supply. The facility water temperature and temperature inside the facility was measured within the regulatory ranges. Medications, sharps, and toxins were observed to be locked and inaccessible to residents in care. The exterior area was observed to have enough space for outdoor activities or visitation. No emergency exits were obstructed. Staff was observed to be assisting with residents coming back from program, cleaning the facility, and completing documentation. Residents were observed in their room, coming back from program, and engaging with visitors.

LPA Valerio reviewed facility documentation, staff files, and resident files. The last fire drill was conducted for the month of September - 2025. Staff files were observed to be up to date with required training. Resident files were complete with annual documentation. LPA Valerio requested the following annual documentation be sent to the RO: LIC 500, LIC 308, LIC 610, and copy of surety bond.

Per California Code of Regulations (CCR) - Title 22, no deficiencies are being cited on today's visit. An exit interview was held, and a copy of the report was provided.
