The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Christina Valerio arrived unannounced to conduct an annual required inspection. LPA Valerio met with facility staff RJ, and explained the purpose of the visit. LPA was later meet by designated staff Gladys Quiambao.

LPA Valerio and Gladys toured the facility to ensure compliance with title 22 regulations. LPA Valerio observed resident bedrooms to be fully furnished and free from odors. Resident bathrooms were observed to be sanitary, have soap, hand sanitizer, hygiene supplies, a skid matt, and trash can. The hot water measured between the regulatory range of 105.0 - 120.0. The kitchen was observed to be clean ad free from debris. The facility had an adequate food supply. LPA Valerio observed a fire pull alarm system, fire detectors, fire extinguisher, and carbon monoxide detectors to be fully operational. The fire extinguisher was last serviced on 05 - 2024. The facility temperature was observed to be within the regulatory range. Medications, sharps, and toxins were observed to be locked and inaccessible to residents in care. Staff bedrooms were observed to be utilized solely for staff use. LPA Valerio observed the shed in the backyard to be utilized for a storage. Walkways in the backyard were clear from obstructions. No health or safety concerns.

Residents were observed watching television in their room, reading in their room, and completing ADLs. Staff were observed assisting residents and completing household chores.

LPA Valerio observed resident and staff files. Resident files were observed to be complete with up to date assessments and care plans. Staff files were observed to have up to date annual training.

LPA Valerio requested the following annual documents be sent via fax: LIC 500, LIC 308, LIC 610E, Proof of Control of Property, Copy of Liability insurance, and any updates to their program services/procedures

Per California Code of Regulations (CCR) - Title 22, no deficiencies are being cited today. An exit interview was held, and a copy of the report was provided.
