The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst, LPA, Noel Wolf Petersen arrived unannounced to conduct the annual inspection. LPA met with Program Director Daren ambrocio to explain the purpose of the visit.

Licensing program analyst checked the staff roster against the gaurdian database. All are cleared eligible to work. Gaurdian has 5+ folks who are no longer working at the facility, LPA gave guidance that the administrator should remove them from the list.

LPA inspected the physical plant, including but not limited to the bathrooms, common areas(kitchen/break room, arts and crafts, exercise room, multi media room, sensory room, quiet room, offices), storage areas, exterior and evacutation route. At 915, LPA observed staff and clients interacting in each of the activity rooms in Staff to Client ratios of 1:3, 1:2, and 1:1. the Clients left for a brief trip at 945, returned at 11. Snacks were distributed at 11:15. LPA observed snacks were within expiration dates. Program resumed, Spongebob squarepants was screened, 11:30 to 1pm. Clients leave the program 1:30pm.

Facility is clean, traffic areas are free of trip hazards and well lit.

Fire extinguishers are dated 1/02/26, co alarms are functional, water is delivered between 105-120*F. Program Director Daren ambracio provided that the fire marshall signed the new clearance without requiring a fire alarm. The old fire clearance appears to not have alarms. The building is shared with multiple buisnesses, the LPA will follow up with the fire marshal.
