The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Christina Valerio arrived to the facility unannounced to conduct a Required 1 Year Annual Inspection Visit. LPA met with Administrator Lionel Nunez and explained purpose of visit.

LPA and Administrator toured the facility physical plant to ensure compliance with Title 22 regulations. LPA observed bedrooms to have necessary furniture. Bathrooms were fully stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, soap, trash can, and skid mats. Common areas were observed to be clean and free from debris. LPA observed the temperature inside the facility was measured at 72*F and the hot water was measured within compliance. Facility has nonperishable foods for a minimum of one week and fresh perishable foods for a minimum of two days. LPA observed the centrally stored medications area, toxins, and sharps to be locked and inaccessible to clients. LPA Valerio observed a pull alarm system, fire extinguisher(s) with last check on 05/21/23, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, central heating and air in the facility to be in good working condition. No emergency exits were obstructed.

LPA reviewed resident and staff files. LPA observed staff files to be up to date and training files to be current. 3 Resident files were observed to be up to date and current.

LPA requested the following updated copies to be sent LPA Valerio: LIC 500, LIC 308 Designation of Administrative Responsibility, Surety Bond, and LIC 610D the Emergency Disaster Plan

Per the California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 6, Chapter 6, no deficiencies were observed or cited. Exit interview held and a copy of the report was provided.
