Facility Evaluation Report
Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Sommer Hayes arrived unannounced to conduct an annual inspection. LPA Hayes met with facility administrator Erwin Somera and explained the purpose of the visit. Later, Licensee Renato Rivera arrived later in the visit.
LPA Hayes reviewed two resident files (R1-R2) and two staff files (S1-S2).
LPA Hayes toured the facility with Somera and inspected common areas, the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and backyard areas. Furniture and furnishings were sufficient to meet the needs of residents. The facility temperature was 72 degrees Fahrenheit, which is within the required range of 68 and 85 degrees. The facility's water temperature measured 119 degrees Fahrenheit, which is within the required range of 105 and 120 degrees.
LPA Hayes observed a fully-charged and up-to-date fire extinguisher, and carbon monoxide/smoke detectors. LPA Hayes observed a minimum 2-day supply of perishable food and a minimum 7-day supply of nonperishable food. LPA Hayes observed a locked cabinet for the storage of medication. LPA Hayes observed locked cabinets for the storage of cleaning solutions and knives.
LPA Hayes attempted to interview resident (R3) and one staff (S1).
An exit interview was held with Somera and Renato Rivera. A copy of this report were left with Somera.
Per the California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 6, Chapter 8, no deficiencies were cited.
