The inspector’s account

On 04/03/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Renee Campbell arrived to the facility to conduct an Annual Inspection. LPA Campbell was met by Direct Support Provider (DSP) Ronald Cabiles and explained the purpose of the visit. Upon entry to the facility, LPA Campbell observed one of the residents watching tv. Two of the residents were in their rooms and another was outside with staff.

The facility is a one story building with two bathrooms and four bedrooms. It is licensed to serve 4 developmentally disabled aged 18 to 59, 1 of whom may be non-ambulatory. New referrals are received from Alta Regional. Currently, all residents are ambulatory.

LPA Campbell toured the facility and inspected common areas, the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and backyard areas to ensure there are no safety hazards for residents. Furniture and furnishings were sufficient to meet the needs of residents. The facility temperature was 68 degrees Fahrenheit, which is within the required range of 68 and 85 degrees. The backyard was toured by LPA Campbell and pathways and exits were found to be clear. A shaded outdoor seating area was provided for the client's. An outdoor shed was opened by staff and was found to contain furniture and other backyard supplies.

LPA Campbell observed a minimum 2-day supply of perishable food and a minimum 7-day supply of nonperishable food. LPA Campbell observed locked closets and cabinets for the storage of
