Facility Evaluation Report
On 08/24/2023 at 11:00am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jennifer Fain arrived announced to conduct a prelicensing inspection with applicant Roberto Gellegani for this residential facility application.
LPA conducted an inspection of facility including common areas, resident bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, storage, and outside yard area. Requested capacity is 4 ambulatory residents. The facility is sanitary and in good repair in areas toured. No hazards were noted in patio area, hallways, doorways, etc. No equipment was stored in public areas. Fixtures and furniture all appear to be in good condition. Cleaning solutions are stored separately from food and are secured. There are no bodies of water on the premises. Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms were tested and operational. Fire extinguisher was in compliance and serviced June 19, 2023.
There were an adequate number of bedrooms (4) for capacity requested. The facility has the required supply of bedding and towels. Bedrooms have required furniture. There is adequate closet/drawer space available. Non-skid surfaces/mats were noted in the shower. Kitchen is sanitary and well-supplied with equipment. First aid kit was present with the required contents. Laundry equipment was present, working telephone, night lights and emergency lighting were noted. Water temperature was measured at 114 degrees F. Facility has a selection of games, puzzles and activities for residents.
The facility was determined to be in substantial compliance with the Health and Safety Code and the California Code of Regulations. The facility has passed the pre-licensing inspection. Component III was conducted.
An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was provided to Roberto Gellegani. Report sent to the applications unit as this facility is ready for licensure.
