The inspector’s account

Three (3) of four (4) clients interviewed reported they have experienced similar bladder/bowel accidents during day program and staff have been discrete about getting them a change of clothing or when cleaning up the soiled area. Three (3) of four (4) clients interviewed added staff have never threatened to lower their pants/underwear to demonstrate they had a bladder/bowel accident, and they have never felt humiliated by staff nor have they observed staff humiliate another client. Four (4) staff were interviewed and refuted the allegation. Staff interviews reported they have never observed S1 or any other day program staff report clients' bladder/bowel incontinence in the presence of others. Staff interviews added they have never observed S1 or any other staff humiliate any of the clients. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is no preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur; therefore, the allegation is unsubstantiated. An exit interview was conducted, and a copy of this report and Confidential Names List (LIC811) was provided PD Easter.
