The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Janira Arreola conducted an unannounced visit to the facility for a required annual inspection. LPA was met with Licensee, Farhan Rana and Administrator, Humera Rana, who were informed of the purpose of the visit. There are currently no clients in care.

Facility is a one story home with (4) client bedrooms and (2) bathrooms. The facility has no pool and no firearms are being stored. The facility is approved for (4) non ambulatory clients. LPA observed the physical plant floors doors and windows, fixtures and furniture were in good repair and were present. There are extra linens and hygiene items, for future clients. Facility kitchen had the ability to prepare food in clean environment and possessed equipment in good working condition. Facility was issued a technical note for food and cleaning supplies as they were not present during the time of the visit. LPA observed where the client and staff files will be kept. LPA observed the locked areas were the medications, sharps, and cleaning supplies will be kept. All passageways were free from obstruction. LPA observed charged fire extinguishers in the facility. The smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms were operational. The facility has a department approved emergency and disaster plan, infectious control plan. Facility contains emergency supplies and first aid kits with the required items and emergency food.

No deficiencies were observed or cited during the time of the visit and no health and safety issues were observed during the time of the visit. An exit interview was conducted, and this report was discussed and provided.
