The inspector’s account

On July 31, 2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Venus Mixson arrived at the facility without prior notice to conduct the Required Annual visit, and met with Lead Caregiver, Lauren Morrison. The facility has an approved fire clearance and is licensed to serve Adults ages 18 to 59, and for four non ambulatory residents, and the Licensee is operating within the scope of the license.

The facility is a single story structure that consisting of four resident bedrooms and two bathrooms along with a kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry room, backyard with a covered patio and attached garage. The hot water temperature was tested and within regulations for kitchen and one bathroom. The facility was observed to have the two day supply of perishable foods and seven day supply of non-perishable food items. LPA saw that there was sufficient hygiene supplies. The medications, chemicals, sharps and other hazardous items were observed to be locked and inaccessible to residents in care at the time of this visit. LPA Mixson conducted a review od medications. Medication Administration (MAR), which revealed the medications are being given according to the physician instructions. The smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were seen and observed to be operable. A records review was conducted of a sample of the staff files. Those reviewed were found to have current CPR and crisis prevention intervention training. The Administrator Shawantae is current. LPA did not observe any deficiencies, therefore no citations were issued.

An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was reviewed and given to Administrator Shawntae Nelson.
