The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) E.Conchas conducted an unannounced visit to the facility for the purpose of an annual inspection. LPA met with licensee, Lelanie Denila. The facility has four (4) level 4I Regional center clients.

LPA toured the facility inside and out. The facility has no bodies of water backyard.

Physical Plant: The facility has a charged fire extinguishers, operating dual smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors. Outdoor and indoor passageways were kept free of obstruction.

Medications, and sharps were kept locked and inaccessible to the clients. Cleaning supplies were observed unlocked in the kitchen a deficiency was cited.

LPA toured the kitchen. Food was stored in a safe and healthful manner. The facility had a 2 day supply of perishable food items. LPA observed expired food in pantry, refrigerator and emergency food supply.

Mass casualty plan was incomplete, emergency disaster supplies were missing. A deficiency was cited.

LPA toured the client bedrooms. Client bedrooms had the required furniture and functional lighting. LPA toured the client bathroom. Bathrooms were in safe and sanitary conditions. LPA measured the hot water temperature in the bathrooms. The hot water temperature measured between 105-120 degrees F.
