The inspector’s account

On this day at around 2:45pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Luisa Fontanilla arrived unannounced to conduct an annual required inspection. LPA met with Lead Staff Grace Villareal and explained the purpose of visit. The Administrator was notified about the visit. Co Administrator Katelyn Salvador arrived at a later time.

During the visit, LPA inspected the facility inside and out including but not limited to client bedrooms, bathrooms, dining area, garage and backyard. Facility has an approved fire clearance for 2 non ambulatory and 4 ambulatory clients. Facility is a Level 41 home vendorized by the Regional Center of the East Bay (RCEB).

The facility was observed to be clean and odor free. There was sufficient lighting and no bodies of water were observed. There was sufficient supply of perishable and non perishable foods. Hot water measured at 112 degrees Fahrenheit in the kitchen. Fire extinguishers were observed full and last inspected on 10/17/24. Passageways were observed free from any obstruction. Carbon monoxide and smoke detector were tested and observed functional.

At 3:40 pm, LPA reviewed 6 clients and 4 staff files. All staff are fingerprint cleared and associated to the facility. The staff have current First aid and CPR. At 4:10 pm, LPA reviewed P & I money and log with Villareal. The facility has sufficient amount of surety bond to cover the cash being handled at one time.

Last fire drill was conducted on 2/17/2025. Last earthquake drill was completed 1/9/2025.
