The inspector’s account

On 9/19/2024 at 9:30 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Yasamin Brown arrived unannounced to conduct 1-Year Annual Required inspection. LPA met with Administrator, Natalie Jayne Johnson and explained the purpose of the visit.

The facility’s fire clearance was approved for six (6) residents, six (6) may be all ambulatory. LPA toured facility including but not limited to bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, common area, garage and backyard. Facility is a two story structure with 1 shared client room on the lower level and 3 other rooms on the second level, one of which is the staff room and the 2 shared client rooms. One staff room is located next to the dining area. All outdoor and indoor passageways are kept free of obstruction. A comfortable temperature is maintained at 75 degrees Fahrenheit. There is sufficient lighting and furniture.

Hot water measured at 106.2 degrees Fahrenheit in the bathroom. There is a minimum of one week supply of non-perishable and two (2) day of perishable foods. Centrally stored medication and sharps were locked and inaccessible to clients. Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors were in operating condition during visit. Fire extinguisher was last serviced on 12/9/2024. Bath/shower rooms were observed with grab bars, non-skid mats and hygiene products. Sample supply of linen, towels and warm blankets were observed.
