The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Hiratsuka, conducted this unannounced visit in response to a visit from Alta Regional Center.

LPA reviewed the medication issues found by the regional center. Benita Velenzuela Lopez, stated the facility staff were in the process of getting a resident situated and settled when the regional center arrived. The resident was moved in the facility and the licensee was in the process of scheduling appointments to update medications and health issues . Sometimes it takes awhile after a resident moves in to obtain medical appointments to confirm medications. There were prescriptions for medications that have since been updated. Co-Administrator stated the regional center told them residents need to have all paperwork, medications, and such completed prior to move-in. LPA unable to determine the difficulty of the facility's ability to get the resident's information prior to moving in and ability to obtain medical appointments after being moved in.

The files for the staff were not a Title 22 violation.
