The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jason Lund arrived unannounced to the facility to conduct an Annual Required visit and met with Christine Dunham, Licensee. Census:2

LPA Lund & Licensee Christine Dunham toured/inspected the physical plant to ensure compliance with Title 22 regulations. There are two client bedrooms and one bathroom for the three current clients in the facility. This is a Valley Mountain Regional Center Level 3 vendorized home. LPA observed bedrooms to be properly furnished, with appropriate lighting. The bathroom was in sanitary condition, properly maintained and the hot water temperature was observed to be 115.5 degrees F. LPA inspected the kitchen area for the ability to prepare and store food. LPA observed there are two- days’ worth of perishable and 7- days of non-perishable food supply on hand. Smoke detectors were tested and are operational and care home also has a carbon monoxide detector. Fire extinguishers was serviced in March of 2026 and first aid kit are maintained and ready for emergency use. Care home also conducts monthly fire/disaster drills.

LPA checked medication storage and found medication to be locked away and inaccessible to clients. Facility uses the Centrally Stored Medications Reports (CSMR) and the daily Medication Administration Report (MAR) LPA reviewed two resident records for completeness and accuracy. Care home staff also has criminal record clearances and current first aid training on file. The two client files were reviewed and all were in compliance.

No deficiencies were identified on this inspection, exit interview held and copy of report given.
