Resident smokes cigarettes on the premises

Staff failed to provide a safe and comfortable environment for residents

On 05/17/23, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) M. Yang arrived unannounced to conduct an initial complaint inspection. LPA met with Administrator Tamara Leigh and announced the purpose of the visit. LPA discussed the above allegations with Administrator and delivered the complaint findings.

LPA toured the facility, conducted interviews, and obtained records. Upon notice of client 1 (C1) smoking in client’s own room and wondering into other client’s room, the facility had reviewed the house rules with C1. The facility immediately took proper measures to ensure safety of all clients in care and increase client supervision. Therefore, based on the records reviewed and interviews that were conducted the above allegations is founded to be UNSUBSTANTIATED. An exit interview was conducted. A copy of this report was provided to the Administrator.
