The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Renee Campbell arrived announced to conduct a pre-licensing inspection due to a change of location. LPA Campbell met with UCP Administrator Marisol Moreno, and explained the purpose of the visit. The facility will be moving to a new location at 275 Third St in Turlock, CA. The new location has been cleared for 55 ambulatory clients and 35 non-ambulatory clients.

Upon arrival, LPA Renee Campbell observed 2 staff members and 0 participants. All current participants are attending Day Program at the previous location. LPA Campbell toured the physical plant to ensure compliance with Title 22 regulations. LPA Campbell inspected 2 classrooms, 2 offices rooms, a changing room, the kitchen, a main hall and 4 bathrooms. There are 6 fire extinguishers throughout the building. The last inspection for the fire extinguisher was completed on 01/09/2025. Emergency rations of food and water were observed in the kitchen cabinet and kitchen supplies were observed in a pantry. There will be areas for participants to place their belongings with additional lockers to be moved from the prior location. When needed, clients will have a secured area for their medications in the Team Lead office. The Dining Hall will serv as a multi-purpose room for additional classes, meals and as an isolation room for those found to have COVID or other illnesses. The program has an infection control plan and an emergency disaster plan in place that was reviewed and approved by the Regional Office. Water temperature was measured at 118 degrees Fahrenheit (F) as required. Per California Code of Regulations (CCR) - Title 22, no deficiencies were observed.

LPA Campbell has no objections to licensure. This prelicensing inspection has been passed. An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was left with Marisol Moreno, Administrator.
