Facility Evaluation Report
Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Renee Campbell arrived unannounced to conduct an annual inspection. LPA Campbell met with Jessica Villasenor and explained the purpose of the visit.
The Paulson Community consists of three one story home style buildings built in a semi-circle with the main administrative building. The Paulson-Stanislaus building is licensed to serve 5 developmentally disabled residents, 5 of whom may be non-ambulatory. Residents are between the ages of 18 and 59 and the building is approved for delayed egress.
LPA Campbell toured the facility and inspected common areas, the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and backyard areas to ensure there are no safety hazards for residents. Furniture and furnishings were sufficient to meet the needs of residents. Several of residents doors were decorated with images that have meaning to them. The facility temperature was 70 degrees Fahrenheit, which is within the required range of 68 and 85 degrees. Pathways and exits were observed to be clear.
LPA Campbell observed first aid supplies that included tweezers, scissors, thermometer and first aid manuals. LPA Campbell suggested a more detailed first aid kit be provided in each house in case of emergencies. A fully-charged and up-to-date fire extinguisher was last inspected on 12/06/2024. Of the 4 staff files, all files were complete. Of the 5 resident files, 1 file will need an additional clarification from the doctor to confirm their health screening. The licensee will email the information so that LPA Campbell can follow-up.
