The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Renee Campbell arrived announced to conduct a prelicensing inspection. LPA Campbell met with applicants Betty and Andrew Dominici and explained the purpose of the visit.

LPA Campbell conducted Component III orientation with the applicants.

The facility consists of 42 rooms divided between two buildings. LPA Campbell toured the property with the applicants and inspected common areas, the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and backyard areas. LPA Campbell observed dining areas, meeting rooms and staff office areas in the facility as well. Furniture and furnishings were sufficient to meet the needs of prospective residents. The indoor temperature was 72 degrees Fahrenheit, which is within the required range of 68 and 85 degrees. The homes water boiler will be replaced on 10/17/24 approximately.

LPA Campbell observed first aid supplies, fully-charged and up-to-date fire extinguishers, and working carbon monoxide/smoke detectors. LPA Campbell observed the minimum two-day supply of perishable food and a seven-day supply of nonperishable food. LPA Campbell observed a locked med-cart in locked medication room for the storage of medication.
