Facility Evaluation Report
On 01/31/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Renee Campbell arrived to the facility at 1:00 PM. LPA Campbell met with Gloria Solorio, Administrator and Daniel Solorio, Manager and explained the purpose of the visit. The licensee is currently seeking licensure for a 6 bedroom home, with staff living quarters and 3 bathrooms in all. Facility also includes a laundry room, garage and office. The current census of the facility is zero residents.
LPA Campbell began the tour in the kitchen. Cabinets and drawers were observed to be in good repair and contained all required dishes, cookware and flatware sufficient to meet the needs of the residents. The storage area for resident medication was observed in a closet with a lock. A drawer with a locked padlock was also observed for knives. The refrigerator temperature measured 35 degrees Fahrenheit and the freezer measured 0 degrees Fahrenheit. Common areas were toured such as the living room, dining room, and all other areas intended for resident use. Furniture and furnishings were observed to be in good repair and able to meet the needs of the residents at this time.
During a tour of the resident bedrooms, LPA Campbell observed beds, closets, chairs and nightstands with lamps for each resident. There were two twin beds in each room. The staff office and living quarters were observed on the other side of the facility with a private backyard for staff only. In the staff backyard, there is a stand-alone building with two bedrooms that will be uninhabited and will remain locked. Residents will have separate access to their own outdoor space that has a table and chairs with protection from the sun.
