Facility Evaluation Report

On 04/02/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Renee Campbell arrived unannounced to conduct an annual inspection. LPA Campbell met with Misty Speegel, Administrator and explained the purpose of the visit.

The facility is a one story building that is licensed to serve 48 clients between the ages of 18 and 59. Of the clients residing in the facility, only 8 of them may be non-ambulatory. Referrals to the facility come from Stanislaus county and case managers.

LPA Campbell toured the facility and inspected common areas, the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and backyard areas to ensure there are no safety hazards for residents. Furniture and furnishings in client bedrooms were sufficient to meet the needs of residents. The facility temperature was 75 degrees Fahrenheit, which is within the required range of 68 and 85 degrees. Several outdoor seating areas with shade were observed. Pathways and exits were found to be clear.

LPA Campbell confirmed that Carbon Monoxide alarms were functional. A fire drill log was reviewed and LPA Campbell confirmed that Fire drills were conducted monthly and maintenance and repair tasks were recorded. The fire extinguishers were last inspected on 08/04/2024 and were fully charged. The pantry contained enough perishables to last 3 days. There were also enough non-perishables for residents for 7 days. Medical cabinets were observed throughout the dining areas as being locked and inaccessible to clients. The first aid kit was found to be complete with tweezers, scissors, a thermometer & first aid manual

Per California Code of Regulations (CCR's) - Title 22, Division 6, Chapter 6, no deficiencies are being cited. An exit interview was conducted with Teresa Lupercio per the administrator & a copy of this report provided.
