Facility Evaluation Report
Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Renee Campbell arrived unannounced to conduct an annual inspection. LPA Campbell met with Licensee, Jatinder Dhillon and explained the purpose of the visit.
As observed by LPA Campbell, there were currently (3) clients present in the facility. But there are (4) residents in all. Their client files indicate that the residents are able to ambulate without assistance.
LPA Campbell toured the facility and inspected common areas, the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and backyard areas to ensure there are no safety hazards for residents. During the tour, LPA Campbell observed that the closet for cleaning supplies was unlocked. Per S1, S2 (who started a month ago) had left the supply closet open when he began to retrieve the mop and had to answer the door.
Furniture and furnishings were sufficient to meet the needs of residents. The facility temperature was 74 degrees Fahrenheit, which is within the required range of 68 and 85 degrees. The facility's water temperature measured 110 degrees Fahrenheit, which is within the required range of 105 and 120 degrees. The backyard was toured by LPA Campbell and pathways and exits were found to be clear.
LPA Campbell inquired with Licensee Dhillion if there was a plan if their AC stopped working, the licensee stated they would use a combination of box fans and a portable air conditioners to maintain the temperature. LPA Campbell observed one of the portable air conditioners during the visit.
