Complaint Investigation Report
California Code of Regulations (CCR) 80087 Buildings and Grounds states the following:
(g) Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons, firearms and other items that could pose a danger if readily available to clients shall be stored where inaccessible to clients.
(1) Storage areas for poisons, and firearms and other dangerous weapons shall be locked.
(2) In lieu of locked storage of firearms, the licensee may use trigger locks or remove the firing pin.
(A) Firing pins shall be stored and locked separately from firearms.
(3) Ammunition shall be stored and locked separately from firearms.
Based on LPA’s observations, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be SUBSTANTIATED. California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 6 Chapter 8, are being cited on the attached 9099D.
Exit interview conducted. Copy of LIC 9099, LIC 9099D, Plan of Corrections (POC) and Appeal Rights discussed and provided to facility Administrator Marylis Gachu and Staff member Darcy Harlan. Signature on form confirms receipt of documents.
