Facility Evaluation Report
Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Marisol Cuadra arrived unannounced to conduct a Pre-Licensing Inspection and component III. LPA met with Applicant, Anton Kuehnhackl. This pre-licensing is for a change of ownership. There are four clients in care.
LPA/Applicant initiated a tour of the facility and made the following observations: Facility is a two story residence, but upstairs is for staff bedrooms only. Downstairs is the area that includes three shared ambulatory resident bedrooms (room#1, 2 and 3), two bathrooms, one dining room, one kitchen with pantry area, laundry room, another staff bedroom and living room. Facility received an approved fire clearance dated February 19, 2023 that allows for 6 ambulatory residents. LPA discussed with Applicant the importance of having approval for non-ambulatory residents and Applicant wants to proceed to update their fire clearance and obtain approval for non-ambulatory bedrooms for clients. LPA will request the application unit in Sacramento follow-up on this and obtain an updated fire clearance with specific clearance approval.
Facility was a comfortable temperature and passageways were free from obstructions. Residents rooms were furnished per regulation. Water temperature in bathrooms measured at 113 and 115.5 degrees F which are within the range of 105 to 120 degrees F allowed per regulation. Bathroom showers have non-skid shower floors/mats and grab bars. Extra hygiene products and linens were available. Cabinet containing cleaning supplies was locked.
