The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Alviso, is conducting a Required - 1 Year visit, on 6/16/26 at approximately 12:45pm, and met with Edward Bechtel, Administrator. Operations Manager Catherine Brenegan arrived to meet with the LPA during the inspection.

Facility has an approved fire clearance for four (4) , and two (2) non-ambulatory clients; Room #4 is cleared for non-ambulatory use. There are currently five (5) residents in care.

The facility does have a required infection control plan. Facility does have a required emergency disaster plan; Facility is conducting quarterly drills as required, per review of records.

LPA reviewed five (5) resident files. Residents records were complete.

LPA reviewed six (6) staff files. LPA reviewed staff training. All staff have criminal record clearance as required. All staff have first aid certification and CPR certification. Administrator has a current valid ARF administrator certificate.

LPA toured the facility and observed a sufficient supply of food. All exits were free and clear of obstruction. All outside pathways were unobstructed. Cleaners/disinfectants were locked up and inaccessible to residents in care. Facility had a sufficient supply of paper products, cleaners/disinfectants, hygiene products, and supply of personal protective equipment (PPE). Medications were centrally stored, and locked up making them inaccessible to residents in care.Facility was at a comfortable temperature during the inspection. The home was clean and orderly during the inspection.
