Also, there were some food boxes that do have written instructions indicating that C1 can’t eat that product. Based on records review, C1’s physician report dated 10/23/24 indicates that C1 has a diagnosis of type 1 diabetes and celiac disease, C1’s individual program plan (IPP) dated 04/15/25 indicates that they have been residing at the facility since 2007, where facility staff have been trained in special health considerations with diabetes (allergy to gluten). According to C1’s IPP the home specializes in diabetic care. C1’s weight records show consistency of weight with a light decrease of 5 lbs. for the months of May and June 2025. Per interviews conducted with the Licensee, the facility has been following C1’s dietaries restrictions and it is unclear if C1 has been consuming any different food products, Licensee disclosed that C1's dietitian advised them to don't toast C1's bread with the regular bread or limited exposure to products that might have residues of regular food to prevent cross contact, which is the presumed cause of C1's exposure to regular food that could resulted in health repercussion. Based on LPA’s interviews, records review and observations, LPA has determined and confirmed that although the facility appears to have available C1’s dietary food choices adequate for them on recent LPA’s visit conducted on 7/17/25, LPA is unable to determine if dietary restrictions have been followed or not at a prior date. A finding that the complaint allegation facility does not follow client's dietary restrictions is unsubstantiated meaning that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED.
